Streeton
Primary School has a friendly, welcoming environment. We like to see happy,
interested learners who enjoy coming to school and who want to take advantage
of the wide range of opportunities available to them. Parents are welcomed,
and are welcoming, at our school. In partnership with the staff, they make an
enormous, appreciated contribution to the learning journey.
We aim to include
our students in the learning process by making sure the purpose of learning
is clear, giving them opportunities for input, encouraging their opinions, fostering
the notion of responsibility for the choices they make and encouraging them
to keep improving what they do.
We are all learners, and
we all need the opportunity to develop academic, social, emotional and physical
skills to contribute to, and make a difference in, our world. At the same time,
a happy learner is a successful learner so the notions of care, activity and
fun are strong in our school and community. Teaching and non-teaching staff
are enthusiastic and friendly. Teachers are innovative in their approach, yet
traditional in aiming towards high educational standards. Streeton PS can often
be found at the forefront of educational initiatives that will benefit our students.
We welcome visitors to our
school and invite you to make contact to further discuss what we do on a daily
basis.
